Max the Monkey Goes to Hollywood
For GeorgesPoem.com
Max the Monkey had a dream,
To hit the famous movie scene.
“To Hollywood I’m going,” said he,
“For James Bond’s part was made for me!”
“I’m handsome, clever, brave and quick,
I swing through trees and do each trick.
I need little sleep, I’m ready to go,
Just point to the cameras and start the show!”
He packed his shades and smartest suit,
And polished up each hairy boot.
“No first-class ticket do I demand,
Just get this monkey to movie-land!”
The director asked, “What do you need?”
Max gave a grin and said with speed:
“A Porsche, please, will suit me fine,
A standard model—that will be mine!
“But fill it with gadgets, buttons and lights,
For chasing villains through Hollywood nights.
An ejector seat would be quite neat,
And somewhere handy to hide my treat!”
“And what about wages?” the director said.
Max scratched his chin and shook his head.
“Just give me a home and plenty to eat,
Some fruit and bananas will make life sweet!”
Then off went Max with a mighty roar,
His Porsche racing past every door.
With sunglasses on and his bow tie straight,
He shouted, “Hollywood, Max has arrived—don’t wait!”
He chased the villains, performed each stunt,
With cameras rolling from back to front.
He climbed up buildings and swung through the air,
While the director cried, “What a monkey we have here!”
Soon everyone knew that cheeky face,
As Max became the star of the place.
And when they asked, “Who’s Bond today?”
Max gave a wink and drove away.
So if you have a dream that seems quite odd,
Keep smiling and give it all you’ve got.
For even a monkey can reach for a star—
Especially when driving a Porsche motorcar!
